All Kinds of Golf
Walking around the lakes is great. But sometimes you need a change of pace, a challenge, or a competitive edge. Fairmont also offers a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. Fairmont boasts not one, but two, 18-hole golf courses. Enjoy a round at Rose Lake Golf Club (public) or Interlaken Golf Club (semi-private). Not ready for full-sized golf? Kids Just Want to Have Fun has built a mini-golf course next to the Fairmont Aquatic Park. The best part is it’s free to use! Speaking of free, did you know there are three different disc golf courses at Cedar Creek Park? It’s on a very short list of locations in the world that has 3 courses in the same complex!
Beat the Heat
If you’re ready for fun in the sun and want to take advantage of Minnesota summers, the Fairmont Aquatic Park is the place to be. With four pools, two super slides, diving boards, climbing wall, zero depth pool with spray features, sand pit and a variety of treats at their concession stand, there’s a little something for everyone.
Be Competitive
Sports complexes around town are buzzing with activity through the summer and into the fall. Catch a baseball or softball game at the Winnebago Sports Complex or Cardinal Field. Participate in youth soccer at the Jeffery Kot Soccer Fields. Grab your skateboard and head to the Skate Park. Challenge friends to some pickleball at Veteran’s Park or some basketball at Gomsrud.
If you’re looking for a change of pace, check out the Fairmont Raceway. The fastest half-mile in the midwest, they have weekly racing between May and September.
Year Round Goodness
Come out and enjoy the Timberlake Orchard throughout the entire year! Take family photos with a beautiful backdrop of apple blossoms in the spring, enjoy tours and fresh produce from the garden in the summer, taste test the apples then pick a pumpkin in the fall, and do all of your holiday shopping in the winter!
Fall Family Fun
When the air gets colder and the leaves start to turn, it can only mean one thing . . . orchard season! Center Creek Orchard has apples, but they also have lots of entertainment for the whole family: pumpkin patch, hay rides, mini golf, giant slide, maze, jump pad, corn pile, scary forest, helicopter rides and more! Open weekends in September and October it has quickly become a local fall staple.
