& Shakes, Oh My!

Looking for a sweet treat or a beverage to enjoy with friends? There’s a lot to explore. Ice cream at the Dairy Freeze is a summertime staple here. Or, swing by Graffiti Corner for some fro yo or coffee. Speaking of coffee…did you know Indulge added a coffee window downtown with their health spa? Or that Fairmont has it’s own coffee roaster with Loxley Coffee? You can grab a bag of fresh roasted beans to enjoy at home.

Looking for something heathier? 5 Lakes Nutrition offers protein shakes and tea bombs on the go.

Partnerships Brewing in Fairmont

Micro-breweries are all the rage and are popping up all over the country. Fairmont has joined the trend and now has its own local brewery, Fairmont Brewing. Embracing the area, beers such as the George Lake Pils and Sisseton Sunset are named for local lakes. Fairmont Brewing partners with local  pop-up South American and Scandinavian food brand, MINGA, on meals for special events such as beer brunch and Oktoberfest. MINGA also provides beautiful and tasty charcuterie boxes on site.

Speaking of partnerships . . . Loxley Coffee partners with The Bread Box who has a pop-up shop every other weekend at their location. Specializing in sourdough bread, Bread Box also provides a variety of pastries, macarons and other baked goods.

Small Town Staple

There a certain things every small town needs: a church, a bar, a baseball diamond, and a meat market. And after you’ve picked up a growler from the local brewery, there’s nothing better than grabbing some fresh steaks or brats to go with it.
